No. 70 – Seventies retro

By | 28th December 2016

Welcome back to the Art of Crochet blog!

What is it about a simple combination of colours that makes you think of days gone by? I’m remembering a particular poncho I had, back in the day. The centre of our 70s square is a flower made of treble clusters – 3-treble clusters in round one, then 4tr in round two.

blog70 - 1On the second round the petals are divided by 3 or 4 chains alternately, the larger chain spaces will be for the corners in the Sunshine yellow round.

blog70 - 2Rounds four and five are treble and half-trebles, so the action is all in the colour at this point.

Here’s a short video of our seventies Square 70.

Happy crocheting,
Katy
